Re-elect Dr. Natalia Lishchyna — Oakville Ward 6 Town Councillor

It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as your Ward 6 Town Councillor since 2015. Over those years, the most rewarding part of this role has been meeting so many of you, listening to your concerns and ideas, and working together to make our community an even better place to call home.

Oakville is a community we can all be proud of. We are fortunate to have strong finances, outstanding parks, trails and green spaces, excellent recreation and cultural opportunities, quality infrastructure, valued heritage, strong library services, a vibrant local economy and a safe community. These things did not happen by accident. They are the result of thoughtful planning, responsible decisions and a commitment to protecting what makes Oakville special.

But there is always more work to do.

As Oakville continues to grow and change, I believe we need experienced, responsible leadership that listens to residents and keeps their interests at the centre of every decision. I want to continue working to keep taxes as low as responsibly possible, improve accessibility, expand opportunities for sport and recreation, strengthen our public transit, increase our tree canopy, protect our natural environment and build a community that is more resilient to a changing climate.

Just as importantly, we must manage growth responsibly. Growth should strengthen our community, not come at the expense of the neighbourhoods, green spaces and quality of life that brought so many of us to Oakville in the first place.

Serving you is something I never take for granted. I am asking for your support once again so that I can continue listening, working hard and standing up for the interests of Ward 6 residents, while helping to build an even stronger Oakville for the generations that follow us.
